“Kind words are like honey – sweet to the soul and healthy for the body.”

Proverbs 16:24

“But a tiny spark can set a great forest on fire. And among all the parts of the body, the tongue is a flame of fire.”

James 3:5-6

Imagine a crane at a construction site. It can either be used to build a new building or, if it has a wrecking ball attached, it can be used to destroy an existing building. The same tool can be used to build and destroy. In a similar way, our words can be used to build or destroy. The Bible refers to our words as both honey and fire. Our words can be sweet or they can burn. In a time when so many things have been torn down around us, our school year, our graduations, and our routines, the world needs builders to help repair some of the damage.

Every day this week, pick a friend or family member who could use some kind words and reach out to them. Tell them one cool wonderful thing you think about when you think about them.

Ask God to help you see that person the way He sees them. He might just remind you of one cool wonderful thing about that person you may not have been able to remember on your own.

A New Creation

He’s Got Your Back

No Need To Fear Tomorrow

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”  Jeremiah 29:11 OBSERVATION I know we have heard or said this verse probably hundreds of times. Have you ever actually thought...
