It is said that confession is good for the soul.  Some may think it’s scriptural, but it isn’t really.  That said, James 5:16 tells us to confess our sins “to each other and pray for each other so that we may be healed.” But, does that make our souls feel good?  Perhaps, but most people cringe at having to confess their sins to someone else.  As Christians, we know God knows our sin, but getting to a place where we can confess to someone else means we have to truly surrender – surrender our pride, our arrogance, and our fear.  This week we hear how confession is necessary for our growth as Christians. It’s a necessary part of the journey. It’s necessary for fellowship with God.  And getting to a place where we can have true fellowship with God, gets us to serenity!
