Day 2

Galatians 1:11-24

from the Galatians reading plan

Read the Word

Galatians 1:11-24 | Acts 8:1-3 | Acts 9:1-19

Reflect

Paul was getting pushback from believers who doubted his authority, so he takes these verses to outline his credentials. At first glance, it seems like Paul is a most unlikely candidate to promote the gospel of Christ. But after a dramatic encounter with Jesus on the road to Damascus, he dedicates the rest of his life to preaching the gospel.

Despite his circuitous path to becoming a Christian, Paul knows that God has given him a plan and a purpose. What was true for Paul is also true for us – our purpose is to share the gospel and to bring Him glory (Gal 1:23-24).

Respond

In what ways have you sensed God’s calling in your life?

What struggles from your past have you seen God use to tell the story of His grace?

How are you living out God’s purpose and plan for your life? How are you bringing Him glory?
