OBSERVATION

I don’t know about you but sometimes I have gotten so used to hearing the resurrection story that I just forget the power that it holds. This verse was such a pointed reminder of the NEW life we have in Jesus. God gave his one and only son to die so that we may have ETERNAL life. Life with Him in perfect grace, love and hope.

APPLICATION

The resurrection story isn’t just an Easter story, and if I’m honest sometimes I forget that. I forget that the power the resurrection is forever, it doesn’t just start and end at Easter. I love how this verse says that Jesus has given us new birth (or new life) INTO living hope. When we believe in Jesus and the Gospel we are given new life into living hope. I’ve been needing a lot of hope, especially with how things are going in our world today. It’s amazing to be reminded that I already have it. Hope is already in me, His grace already surrounds me, and God’s love is always with me and pursing me. This week I challenge you to read the story of the resurrection. Speak that power over your life, remind yourself that God loves you so much that He sent his most precious thing to die for you. To bring you into
living hope.

PrayER

Jesus, Thank you for dying in my place. Thank you for the reminder that there is no limit to hope and the power that is within you. Thank you that even in the middle of such a crazy time we can still Your hand over everything. I pray that as things come my way this week that I may be reminded that hope is already in me, that Your grace surrounds me, and that You love me just the way that I am. You’re awesome. Amen!
