Stand for the Orphan
God’s Word makes it clear that orphans are close to His heart. He calls us to defend the cause of orphans. Here at LifePoint, one of the ways our church family cares for orphans is through Alpha Life, an orphan ministry in Dnipro, Ukraine. In partnership with Orphan Outreach, this ministry located in one city is now growing and potentially impacting orphans nationwide in Ukraine. This weekend is a celebration of what God is doing through this partnership to care for orphans and share the love of Christ with them.
Discussion Questions
What comes to your mind when you hear the word justice? What has influenced your current thoughts about justice?
Why are orphans (the fatherless) often connected to justice in the Bible? In other words, what does justice have to do with orphans? (Deu. 10:18, 24:17, Psalm 82:3, Isa. 10:2, Jer. 5:28)
