The Miracles of Jesus – 6 – God of Life
This week, we will complete our study on the Miracles of Jesus, looking at the story Jesus raising Lazarus from the dead. Lazarus and his sisters, Martha and Mary, were dear friends of Jesus, and his response to their call for help and his interactions with them as he moved towards the miracle he would work reveal as much about God’s love for us as the miracle itself. Through this account in John 11, we see Jesus perform an amazing miracle in the raising of a person who had been dead for days. As we look deeper into how Jesus moved towards this astounding miracle, we see how Jesus’ presence with us, which holds power over life and death, is a need far beyond any miracle, it is the greatest need of our lives.
