To My Overwhelmed Friends
To My Overwhelmed Friends
Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.
Right now, everything is crazy and changing and there are so many unknowns. You might not have a job right now, or your children are home from school and you’re that close to ripping their hair out… after your own, of course. Of course, everything is fine, but also you don’t think you can take this much longer and you don’t know what to do because it seems like this quarantine could last forever. What are you doing up there, God?
Dear friend, let me remind you this:
Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. Philippians 4:6
Has He ever failed you before? I promise you, the Lord’s track record is clean and He consistently does what is right for us, even if we cannot see it. The Lord is our shepherd. He will protect us, love us, care for us. He will never fail us. He is our cornerstone and our rock which we can stand upon when the world is falling down.
This seems anarchic, I completely understand. Putting your faith in God is hard when you are faced with physical issues. Colleges are closed, restaurants are closed, and honestly, our doors and windows are too. But, my friends, let me remind you that the Lord has promised to care for us and HE. WILL. NOT. FAIL.
It is well with my soul. It is well with my soul. It is well with my soul.
Breathe in, breath out. Don’t be troubled for Jesus already came and saved us. We are under His protection and everything is going to be okay.
