Week 4

Everyone likes to be safe. Truthfully, there is a lot about “safe” to like. But “safe” very rarely changes us. Staying in a place of comfort and safety doesn’t change us in meaningful ways. Today we are going to look at an episode in Acts when engaging with God took Peter, a Jew, and Cornelius, a Gentile, far outside their areas of safety and comfort. God’s Spirit worked in them to change the way that they understood themselves, each other, and the good news of Jesus’ death and resurrection. They discovered that engaging with God changes us.
